This page is published under article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, which transposes article 5.3 of Directive 2002/58/EC, and the CNIL's guidelines and recommendations on cookies and other trackers.
Article 1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file the site asks your browser to keep, and to send back on your next visit. Local storage (localStorage) does the same without travelling with every request. The law treats them the same way, as "trackers"; this page describes them all.
PostShip uses them for three things: keeping you signed in, remembering your choices, and — only if you accept — counting its visits.

Strictly necessary trackers are exempt from consent under article 82 of the French Data Protection Act: without them, the service you ask for cannot work.
Article 3. Audience measurement
Audience measurement is entrusted to Google Analytics, the publisher's processor. It is off by default and only loads after you agree in the banner. The IP address is truncated before anything is recorded. The data may be processed in the United States, under article 7 of the privacy policy.
It never loads on pages published under a customer's brand — status page, deployment card, badge: their visitors are not our audience, and nothing is stored there.
Article 5. What is not a cookie
The web server log — IP address, page requested, date — stores nothing on your device. It is described in article 8 of the privacy policy and stays active whatever you choose below, as it serves the service's security.
