For your clients

For your clients: status, report, link

A status page at your address, kept up to date by your checks, a monthly report and a read-only link for your clients.

Your clients shouldn't find out about an outage by themselves. PostShip gives them a status page that keeps itself up to date, from the checks you have already set up.

A public status page: the outage banner, four components, uptime over fourteen days and a subscribe field.

The status page

  • At your address: status.your-site.com, with its certificate, in a single DNS record once your domain is verified.
  • In figures: under the banner, uptime, published incidents, median response time and operational components. Each component has its own page — seven days hour by hour, the days one by one, the incidents that affected it.
  • Bars that tell the truth: they start when the project was created, a day is green from 99% of successful checks, and a check a host's firewall kept from concluding colours nothing.
  • Followed: your clients subscribe by email, RSS or Atom, and add maintenance windows to their calendar (.ics). The page can be embedded in your site as a banner and take your brand's colour.

The monthly report

On the 1st of the month, the last month's summary — uptime, incidents, deploys, checks — goes by email to the addresses you choose, with a preview to judge before it is sent.

To show a project's state without opening your account: a link that gives the state and nothing to act with. It expires after 90 days and can be revoked at any time.
